Lost a wedding ring in Aruba?
Palm Beach and Eagle Beach, the snorkel coves at Malmok, Surfside by Oranjestad and the lagoon at Baby Beach.
Most of the swimming beaches on Aruba are calm, and a wedding band dropped on one of them can be searched for. How it goes depends on how precisely the spot can be marked, and on where the band came off, on the sand, in the shallows or from a boat.
Ring Seekers is a lost ring and jewelry recovery service that works with experienced local metal detectorists to search for a ring, wedding band, watch, keys or phone lost on Aruba.
Tell us what happened and where. We choose an experienced detectorist who knows the beach, brief them with your map and photos, and tell you honestly if the odds are poor.

What you can expect from us
A single WhatsApp thread
Everything stays in one chat with one person, so what you tell us on the first day is still there when the search is planned.
The detectorist sees what you saw
Your map pin and the pictures you took on the beach are handed on with the brief, so the search begins where you were.
An honest read first
Some losses leave a good chance and some leave very little. We give you our view of yours plainly, before you decide anything.
Details that help
A photo of the ring or watch being worn, and the resort or beach bar you were facing, tell us more than a long description.
Costs up front
We explain the costs before any search is booked.
Aruba, beach by beach
Every beach on Aruba is public. Arashi sits near the California Lighthouse at the north tip, and Baby Beach near San Nicolas in the south. The protected wetlands of the Bubali Plas Bird Sanctuary are the one place we stay out of.
Which beach were you on?
Palm Beach and Fisherman's Huts
Palm Beach, in the Noord district, is the two-mile-long strip of white sand in front of the high-rise hotels, with piers, beach bars, restaurants and water sports concessions. The water is calm enough for swimmers and snorkelers, and some bars and restaurants are out on the piers. Past the Marriott, the rocky strip of Hadicurari, also called Fisherman's Huts, is where people learn windsurfing and kitesurfing, in very shallow, calm water.
Eagle Beach
The widest beach on Aruba, with soft white sand, shaded areas, some beach huts and water sports. Its two fofoti trees, bent by the trade winds so they point toward the sea, make an easy landmark. Several low-rise hotels are close by or just across the road, and some put out cabanas and lounges for their guests.
Manchebo Beach and Druif Beach
Druif Beach is a long, oval stretch of ivory sand by the low-rise resorts of the Eagle Beach area. The water is relatively calm and clear, with beach huts, a volleyball field and water sports, and pelicans perch on poles in the water. Manchebo Beach, in the same stretch, is a quiet hideaway where the Manchebo resort has thatched massage cabanas above the sand.
Malmok, Boca Catalina and Tres Trapi
Malmok is a limestone and rocky shore broken by little bays of white sand. Catamarans and sailboats stop just off the shoreline so their passengers can snorkel. Boca Catalina is a small, secluded bay in the Malmok area, reached by steps from the road. Swim north from it to reach Catalina Cove, and next to that is Tres Trapi, named Three Steps for the rock stairway down to the water. Along the Malmok shore the way in crosses sharp rocks, and there are a lot of sea urchins.
Arashi Beach
At the northern tip of the island, just beyond Malmok on the road to the California Lighthouse. White sand and calm, shallow water over a sandy bottom, with a beach bar, shade huts and a quieter feel than the resort beaches. The best snorkeling is on the left side as you face the sea, and there are rocky sections near the shoreline.
Oranjestad and Surfside Beach
The capital is a colorful harbor city with a cruise ship terminal, and legal marriages take place at its City Hall. Surfside Beach is about a 2-minute drive from the airport. Surfside Beach Bar is right on the sand, where you can watch planes come in overhead, and Reflexions Beach Club is along the same shore.
Renaissance Island
A private island reached by a short shuttle boat ride from the Renaissance resort in Oranjestad. Iguana Beach is the family beach and Flamingo Beach the adults-only one, where flamingos stroll along the shoreline. Coral Beach on the island is used for weddings, and couples come here on honeymoon.
Baby Beach and Rodger's Beach
Baby Beach, in the south close to San Nicolas, is a half-moon of sand around a calm lagoon so shallow that you can wade out a long way and still touch the bottom. There is a marked snorkel area where the bay opens out to the ocean, huts for shade and a refreshment stand, and it is about a 45 minute drive from the Palm Beach hotels. Next door, Rodger's Beach is a narrow white strip where fishermen anchor their colorful boats.
Mangel Halto
A quiet beach among mangroves in the small town of Pos Chiquito, near Savaneta, with a wooden sun deck and public huts. The shallow water is calm, but getting in means crossing sharp rocks at the edge, and the currents can be strong. There is a reef close to the beach.

Questions about Aruba
How do I describe where on Palm Beach I lost my wedding band?
Palm Beach runs for two miles in front of the high-rise hotels, with piers and beach bars along it. The hotel behind your lounger and the nearest pier place you far better than a description of the sand. Say too whether you had been in the sea or on a jet ski.
I lost my Oura ring near the fofoti trees at Eagle Beach. Does that help?
Yes. Eagle Beach is the widest beach on Aruba, and the two fofoti trees are a fixed point anybody can find. Tell us roughly how far from them you were, and whether you were nearer the water or the road.
What if a watch came off snorkeling at Boca Catalina or Tres Trapi?
Snorkelers get in at Boca Catalina, a small, calm bay, and swim north to Catalina Cove, with Tres Trapi next to it. The fish there keep near the rocks, so people follow the edges of the coves. Name the cove where you turned back and say whether the strap felt loose.
Can an engagement ring lost at a snorkel stop off Malmok be found?
Catamarans and sailboats stop just off the rocky limestone shore at Malmok. If the ring slipped off into open water beside the boat, it is a long shot, and you would hear that from us first. If you swam in and lost it near the rocks or on the sand, tell us where you climbed out.
Is there any point looking for car keys lost at Arashi Beach?
Arashi is quieter than the resort beaches, with white sand, shade huts and shallow water over a sandy bottom, though locals like it on Sundays. The hut you used is the best landmark. Say too whether you snorkeled off the left side or walked over the rocky sections near the shoreline.
Can an anklet lost wading at Baby Beach be found?
The lagoon is so shallow that people wade a long way out and can still stand. Tell us which hut you used and how far out you waded, or whether you were in the marked snorkel area at the mouth of the bay.
Could a phone dropped getting in at Mangel Halto be found?
The way in crosses sharp rocks, then the water is shallow and calm out to the reef, and the currents can be strong. A phone lost among the rocks at the entry is a very different search from one lost out by the reef, so tell us which it was.
My ring slipped off at Surfside Beach near Oranjestad. Where do we start?
Surfside is a short drive from the airport. Along the shore are Surfside Beach Bar, Reflexions Beach Club, Barefoot Restaurant and Pinchos, and the one you sat in front of is where a search would begin.
