Sunny Beach and New Nessebar, Sveti Vlas and Elenite, Obzor and Irakli, then Ravda, Aheloy and Pomorie.
Eight kilometres of sand at Sunny Beach, more than ten at Obzor, and a walled peninsula in between. A resort name on its own covers far too much ground to hand anybody, so what decides things here is how much of it you can pare away in the first message you send.
Ring Seekers is a lost ring and jewellery recovery service that connects people who lost a ring, wedding band, watch or phone in Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Sveti Vlas and Obzor with a metal detectorist who can search there. The eight of them sit along one coast, which is why they are together here. Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Sveti Vlas, Ravda and Obzor are in Nessebar Municipality, Aheloy and Pomorie in Pomorie Municipality, and Elenite is the holiday complex in the bay by Cape Emine.

Mark it before you leave the beach
Work backwards from the moment you noticed to the last time you are certain you had it, and drop a pin on your phone map at every place in between while today still makes sense. A morning on one beach and an afternoon on another are two separate pieces of ground, and both want one.
Whichever building you came out of onto the sand is worth more than the resort name, so put that in as well. Whoever goes out also needs to see the item rather than have it described, and to know whether any of that day was spent in the water.

Sunny Beach and the dunes along it
Sunny Beach is the largest tourist complex on the Black Sea, set on a wide semicircular bay open to the east, with Nessebar three kilometres off at the southern end. The beach runs eight kilometres and is thirty to sixty metres wide, fine golden sand with natural dunes along it where rare plants grow. Hotels and apartment blocks stand the whole length of the shore. Ten kilometres inland to the west, near Tankovo and Kosharitsa, Kalinata is a longoz forest of old ash, oak and elm.
New Nessebar and its beaches
The Old Town stands on a rocky peninsula, joined to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. South of the isthmus, in the new town, the South Beach is soft golden sand running on almost to Ravda, quieter at its southern end, and north and south of the new town are wide beaches with natural sand dunes.
Sveti Vlas, its three beaches and Elenite
Sveti Vlas holds the northern side of Nessebar Bay, ten kilometres from Nessebar and two from Sunny Beach. Its shore faces south throughout and is divided into three separate beaches of fine golden sand, the central one largest at about 1,000 metres long and 16 metres wide on average. Marina Dinevi opened here in 2007 and is the largest yacht port in Bulgaria, with room for 300 yachts. Elenite, four and a half kilometres further on, is villas and hotels in a bay near Cape Emine.
Obzor, Irakli and the Dvoynitsa
Obzor is the second largest town in Nessebar Municipality and lies along a bay that begins at Cape Sveti Atanas and ends at the Emine mountain, where the river Dvoynitsa comes down to the sea. Its beach is over ten kilometres long and between twenty and sixty metres wide, fine golden sand, and the town singles out its south beach and the beach at Irakli, nine kilometres away, with more than three kilometres of soft sand and no stones in it. Cape Emine, fourteen kilometres south, is a cliff of almost sixty metres with a lighthouse on it.
Ravda, Aheloy and Pomorie
Ravda sits next to Nessebar around Cape Ravda, which has a bay on each side, the wide South Beach of fine golden sand and a quieter one facing Nessebar between the cape and Cape Akrotiria. On the cape the shore is rock, with sand gradually taking its place. Aheloy lies three kilometres on and eight kilometres north of Pomorie, flat ground on Burgas Bay where the Aheloy river reaches the sea. Pomorie has about five kilometres of beach, dark from the iron and manganese in the sand, with the Old Pomorian Houses Reserve at its eastern end. North of the town, Pomorie Lake is cut off from the sea by a spit of black sand with dunes on it, and marked bird and plant trails run round the lake from its visitor centre.

The sand is not the same from town to town
Sunny Beach and Obzor are fine golden sand, and so are the Sveti Vlas beaches and the South Beach at Ravda. Pomorie is dark sand, its colour coming from the iron and manganese it holds, and the spit that shuts Pomorie Lake off from the sea is black from the iron in it.
Whether you were in the water changes everything
The sea at Sunny Beach averages 20 to 26 degrees Celsius through the summer, and at Pomorie the seabed has only a slight slope. A watch clasp can let go while you are swimming without you feeling a thing, so say whether you went in and roughly how far.
A holiday here is not all beach
The Sveti Vlas marina holds 300 yachts, and Pomorie has a port with boats to Varna and Sozopol. A good part of a week here is spent on paving and stone.
Questions about Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Sveti Vlas and Obzor
We only missed the wedding band on the way to the airport.
Write the week down roughly before you board. Sunny Beach is eight kilometres long and thirty to sixty metres wide, so the resort name on its own is not a place. The block you came down from, the day and how far along the sand you had walked turn it into one.
A chain came off somewhere on the South Beach at Nessebar.
The South Beach is the main beach of the town, in the new part south of the isthmus, and it runs on almost to Ravda, with a quieter southern end backed by dunes. Say which end you were nearer, whether you sat in a paid area or on open sand, and when you last had the chain.

The dry hours of that day are the workable part. Marina Dinevi has been at Sveti Vlas since 2007 and takes 300 yachts, so a trip like yours starts on a pontoon and ends on one. Tell us where you boarded and where you tied up. Open water in the bay is a long shot, and you would hear that from us first.
The beach at Obzor seems far too big to describe properly.
It is over ten kilometres long and between twenty and sixty metres wide, so a search runs on a section of it rather than on the name. Say whether you were on the south beach, on the town stretch, or up at Irakli, which is a beach of its own.
An Oura ring has gone at Elenite.
Elenite helps you here. It is a holiday complex in a bay near Cape Emine, villas and hotels on the southern slope of the mountain, so the ground has edges an open strip of coast has not. Name the building you stayed in and the route down to the water.
We were in Pomorie for the mud and the earring could be at either end of the day.
Then give us the whole of that day in order. Pomorie Lake sits two kilometres north of the town, so there is a walk in the middle of it, and the town beach at the other end runs about five kilometres. Which part of that beach you settled on is the detail we need most.
Ravda and Aheloy were one holiday to us, not two places.
They are two coasts even so. Cape Ravda has a bay on either side, the wide South Beach of fine golden sand and a quieter one facing Nessebar between the cape and Cape Akrotiria, and on the cape itself the shore is rock. Aheloy is three kilometres on, flat ground on Burgas Bay where the Aheloy river reaches the sea.
