Grenada
Lost a ring or car keys in Grenada?
Grand Anse runs for two miles and Morne Rouge for half a mile, so knowing which beach, and where on it, sets the size of the search.
Keys, a ring or a phone that went into the sand on a Grenada beach are worth a search, and a detectorist can go back over that sand for them. What settles it is the exact patch of beach you were on, such as a sunbed on Grand Anse or a towel near the bars at Morne Rouge.
Ring Seekers is a lost ring and jewelry recovery service that works with experienced local metal detectorists to search for a ring, wedding band, watch, keys or phone lost in Grenada. Tell us what happened and where. We choose an experienced detectorist who knows the beach, brief them with your map and photos, and tell you honestly if the odds are poor.
From Grand Anse round to the Atlantic side, and over to Carriacou
On the south coast, Grand Anse has calm turquoise water, Morne Rouge has lazy waves and shallow water, and L'Anse aux Epines is a sheltered bay. Magazin, Grooms and Portici, three beaches near the airport, are tucked in against rocky bluffs or cliffs.
Petit Bacaye, in the southeastern parish of St David, is a gray sand beach on the Atlantic. At Bathway Beach in the north, a rock shelf parallel to the shore keeps the strong Atlantic currents out of a pool for swimming. Across on Carriacou, Paradise Beach and Tyrrel Bay both have calm water.
From your first message to a detectorist on the sand
Scroll back to anything
Your first message, our questions, the plan and the result all sit in one WhatsApp thread.
Your pin travels with them
The map pin and pictures you send are what the detectorist works from on the sand, so the search starts where you were.
Sand or marina water
A ring on the sand at Morne Rouge is one kind of job and keys gone over the side of a dinghy in Prickly Bay are another. Where yours sits is the first thing we tell you.
Sunbed swaps count
If you changed sunbeds, strolled down the beach or went out on a boat, mention it with a rough time. Each move is one more patch to check.
Price before plans
We explain the costs before any search is booked.
The south coast, the Atlantic side and Carriacou
The cards run from St George's along the south coast, then to the Atlantic side and over to Carriacou. We leave the Molinere Beauséjour Marine Protected Area and Levera National Park alone.
From the Carenage to Sandy Island
St George's and the Carenage
Cruise lines call at the harbor in St George's. Port Louis Marina sits in the Lagoon on the edge of town, looking over the Carenage. If a watch or phone went missing on a day ashore, pin the quay or the street where you noticed.
Grand Anse Beach
Grand Anse is two miles of white sand with calm turquoise water. Hotels, beach bars and water sports are spread along it, and couples marry on the sand. A ring can go missing at a wedding here as well as on a swim.
Morne Rouge Beach (BBC)
Morne Rouge, which locals call BBC, is a crescent of white sand with lazy waves and shallow, calm, clear water. There are bar and restaurant spots on the beach. Say whether the loss was near the bars or out in the shallows.
L'Anse aux Epines
L'Anse aux Epines, also written Lance aux Epines, is a sheltered bay with lazy waves on white sand. Cottages and private villas are on this stretch of coast. If you came down from a villa, the place where you stepped onto the sand is a good start for the pin.
True Blue Bay and Prickly Bay
True Blue Bay has a resort and marina on the water, with gardens sloping down to the bay. Prickly Bay has a marina of its own in wide, deep water. Around both bays a loss can be at a dock, in a dinghy or on the sand, so tell us which it was.
Magazin, Grooms and Portici
Magazin Beach is a long stretch of white sand bordered by rocky bluffs, with gentle waves. Grooms Beach at Parc a Boeuf has golden sand, cliffs all round and trees for shade, and people snorkel there. Portici Beach is tucked between two rocky cliffs. At all three, tell us whether you stayed on the sand or swam out toward the rocks.
La Sagesse, Petit Bacaye and Bathway
La Sagesse, in St David, is a crescent of gray sand. Petit Bacaye, also in St David, is a gray sand beach on the Atlantic where village fishermen keep their boats. Bathway Beach in the north has speckled coral sand and a pool 30 feet wide, sheltered from the strong Atlantic currents by a rock shelf running along the shore.
Paradise Beach and Sandy Island, Carriacou
Paradise Beach, in the village of L'Esterre on Carriacou, has white sand and crystal clear, calm water. Sandy Island is a short boat ride off it, about 150 meters long, with white sand, a shallow natural pool and snorkeling in the water around it.
Tyrrel Bay and Anse La Roche, Carriacou
Tyrrel Bay is a horseshoe of white sand on the southern coastline of Carriacou, with calm water. Anse La Roche is a hidden beach reached by a trail, with a rocky outcrop that makes for good snorkeling. If you came in by yacht, tell us where it was moored.

How a search on Grenada comes together
None of it needs you to still be on the island.
What happened, in your words
Name the item and the beach in a WhatsApp message, and add what you were doing when you noticed it was gone.
A pin and a picture or two
Drop a pin on where you sat or swam, then send photos of that stretch of beach and of the missing item, or one just like it.
Finding someone for that beach
We look for a detectorist who can get to the beach you named, on Grenada or on Carriacou, and brief them from your messages.
Your yes, then the search
A search is only set up once you say yes to it. The detectorist goes out, and we message you as soon as they are back to say what they covered.
Questions about Grenada
We married on Grand Anse and my wedding band slipped off afterward. Where would a detectorist begin?
At the spot where you said your vows. Grand Anse is two miles of sand, and the hotel or bar the ceremony faced tells us which part of it was yours. After that, what matters is whether the photos afterward were on the dry sand or in the calm water at the edge.
Our car keys vanished at Morne Rouge. We had only been at our towels and the bar.
Pin the towels and the bar you walked to; the sand between them is where a detectorist starts. If anyone swam with the keys in a pocket, the calm, shallow water comes into it too, so say how far out you went.
An earring came out while I was swimming at L'Anse aux Epines. What is the bay like?
Sheltered, with lazy waves on white sand. Pin where you went into the water, and tell us whether you swam across the bay or stayed close to the sand.
My necklace clasp gave way on a dock at True Blue Bay and it went over the edge.
The depth under that part of the dock is what we look at first. Pin the exact spot, and say whether it dropped straight into the water or could have landed on a boat tied up alongside.
Half our afternoon on Sandy Island was in the shallow pool and half walking round. The bracelet went at some point.
That is a small area to cover, since the island is about 150 meters long. Tell us the order of the afternoon and whether you snorkeled off the island as well.
Does the rock shelf at Bathway Beach help if my Oura ring came off while I was swimming?
It helps if you stayed in the pool it shelters. That pool is 30 feet wide, and the shelf runs parallel to the shore, so the water you swam in is a narrow strip. Past the shelf the Atlantic currents are strong, and a ring lost out there is a long shot, and you would hear that from us first.
I lost a smartwatch snorkeling at Grooms Beach, somewhere near the cliffs.
Grooms Beach sits in a ring of cliffs, so the side you swam along narrows it straight away. Tell us that, how far from the sand you think you were, and whether you still had the watch when you came out to dry off.

A pin on the south coast or on Carriacou
A map pin dropped as close as you can to where you sat or swam is worth more than any description, so make it the first thing in your WhatsApp message to us.
